When Social Media Harms Children

American Spaces, KNLS Tower, Upper Hill, Nairobi

This is more than just a conference, it is a national platform for action, bringing together government, development partners, private sector leaders, and youth to confront the growing impact of digital platforms on children in Kenya.

Across the country, and even within our own homes, children and young people are increasingly exposed to harmful content, cyberbullying, and online exploitation. The digital world is shaping them in real time, often without adequate safeguards.

As alumni and leaders, your voice is not just important, it is necessary.

Why You Should Attend

  • Engage in real, solution-driven conversations that go beyond talk

  • Contribute to shaping Kenyaโ€™s digital governance and child protection agenda

  • Network with key stakeholders including ChildFund International, Save the Children, the State Department for Children Services, Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy, and Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis, KIPPRA and other partners.

  • Reconnect and collaborate with your fellow alumni and cohort members

  • Be part of a movement driving real, lasting change in the digital space

This convening will also spark ongoing advocacy, partnerships, and post-summit initiatives focused on strengthening child online safety across Kenya.
